NZ border to open – 2022

26 November 2021

We have all become custom to Covid-19 life – With closed border, facemasks, vaccine mandates and social distancing. Here at PIHMS we have fully embraced measures to keep our students, staff and community safe.

However, when you stop and think about it, it is still very hard to comprehend that the New Zealand has been closed to the world for almost two years.

Yesterday the New Zealand Government announced plans to reopen New Zealand boarders. ‘All fully vaccinated Individuals will be able to travel to NZ from 30 April 2022 onwards, with the re-opening staged over time’.

New Zealand is very fortunate to be in a position to be able to open its borders safely to the world. This is fantastic news with the progress that has been made.

PIHMS will provide an update when Immigration New Zealand provides clarification on student visa information and when international students will be able to start arriving in New Zealand for study. This will be welcomed by many future PIHMS students who are waiting very patiently for the boarders to open.
