Philanthropic Trust SixStar Scholarship

The Philanthropic Trust provides training scholarships every year to help those passionate about a career in hospitality, tourism or hotel management to achieve their dreams.
Philanthropic Trust Vision:
To raise professional standards within the New Zealand hospitality industry by supporting talented individuals.
Entry criteria:
- On track to meeting PIHMS entry requirements
- Hospitality Work experience – Ideally dealing with customers
- Well rounded individual – examples of extracurricular activities EG Sports, music, church, community support
- Future career goals in hospitality, tourism and hotel management
- Scholarships are open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, but not to international students.

Taranaki Local Scholarships
Te Rau Hāpai Manuhiri Novotel Ngāmotu Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolling in the JULY 2026 intake of the New Zealand Diploma of Hospitality Management NZQA Level 5 at the Pacific International Hotel Management School.

Taranaki Careers and Training Expo Trust Scholarship
Scholarships of up to $1,000 are available through the Taranaki Careers and Training Expo Trust Board. The money can be used to fund post-secondary education by paying course fees, course-related costs or costs associated with he apprenticeships. Entrants must be intending to further their education in a recognised course offered by a university, polytechnic, technical institute, wānanga, private training establishment or approved training programme.
